Only issue with this place is only 30 min. Internet access per visit. Other than that beautiful tow and rich heritage. Will visit again. The Chicken RV place has potential of being really unique like the town with 7 people called Chicken, but it's not quite there! For instance, pit toilets has 3 stalls with each designate as men, women, and handicap. Why? Make each unisex so they can be shared by all then nobody has to wait. Showers is $4 for 5mins and promptly close at 8pm. Expensive shower and shut you out when you needed the most. If you like me take off in the morning for hiking, biking or spend the day doing activities and come back for a nice shower, then forget it! The shower promptly close at 8pm, and not open until 8AM next morning. I am sure they heard of water well? WIFI is a joke, time limited and slow so you won't able to do your trip planning if internet is your tool of choice. We don't expect full full hook up RV site even thought they charge similarly to other place in Tok (1.5hrs away). And don't be surprise at the padlock at dump station. That will cost you $10 for dumping even if you are the camper there. Looking back, we could have full hookup at Tok and do all day trip to Chicken, if there is a lot of scenic or cultural appeal... but it's hard press to say you are attracted to the quirky and remoteness of the old mining dump, when there are numerous National Parks with much better sceneries and better service less than 2hrs away! We did not stay in the RV park but the shop is amazing - a huge range of chicken themed gifts Great place to stay if you want to prospect for gold. Nice staff, helped us pan for gold, free use of pans. Internet / wifi system did not work.
